Welcome! I'm Laura and I am the face behind First Word (along with my canine assistant and executive treat tester, Tia).
I have always been passionate about bridging communication gaps between animals and people. Communicating with animals can be like a game of charades; we guess and learn from their behaviour what they want and they do the same back!
So, inspired by the timeless game, First Word strives to help people get better at opening up channels of human/animal communication whilst still maintaining a positive and fun energy to improve the lives of themselves and their pets!
I believe in the power of positive learning experiences in addressing behavioral issues to build harmonious, trusting relationships whilst providing comprehensive training solutions tailored to your pet's unique needs. I strive to keep things lighthearted and fun, channeling the game in which the business name is inspired from!
